A Week Before Thanksgiving!

Hello!  Yes, the year is flying by once again and we are only a week before Thanksgiving, 2014.  Where did the time go?  I don’t believe the notion that people sleep away most of their time, because I’m usually tired from not enough sleep.  Of course, it’s my own fault for staying up too late on a Tuesday night watching NCIS New Orleans, even though we can record it on the DVR to watch anytime.

I wonder how many people will ask this question in the next week?  Do you have a list of things you are thankful for this year?  This is a good week to think about this, before we get dropped head-first into the holiday season.  After next Thursday, it’s a swift roller coaster ride right on to January.  No time to ponder what is important to you.  Only time to rush around shopping, baking, wrapping, decorating and tearing up over all the Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel.

I really do enjoy preparing the holiday dinners for my family.  This year, there will be only three of us, my husband, one of our sons, and myself.  I’m already missing my two other sons who are still in Ohio. While I am defrosting the turkey, making my Grandma’s famous stuffing, and mashing potatoes, I will think about how much I have to be thankful for.  I encourage you to do the same, before this season slips away from your grasp.

Here is my list…

Thankful for a wonderful husband who takes the best care of our family!

Thankful for my three sons, all vastly different personalities with special places in my heart!

Thankful for the jobs my husband and I have, which help provide for our family!

Thankful for the opportunity to relocate from Northeast Ohio to Florida’s Gulf Coast!

Thankful there will be no snow shoveling or ice scraping this year!

And…thankful that you took the time to read this post!
